Duquesne’s Mike Honored Again

Duquesne’s Mike Honored Again

Before the season, many observers believed that Jim Ferry had recruited a talented recruiting class and had plenty of promise. Two months into the season, a couple members of that class are living up to expectations.

For the second time this season, Isiaha Mike has been named the A-10 Rookie of the Week.

In 2 wins over Jackson State and Colgate, Mike averaged 15.5 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and shot 50% from the field. In the game vs. Colgate, Mike scored a career-high 19 points and vs. Jackson State, he registered a career-high 5 assists.

Mike and fellow freshman Mike Lewis have combined to win the A-10 rookie of the week award a combined 5 times this season. This is the first time in Duquesne’s history that 2 of their freshman were named conference rookies of the week multiple times.
