Andy Toole’s Robert Morris team followed up their win over Duquesne by winning two games at the Grand Canyon Classic including today’s 78-64 over Little Rock.
The 3-point shot was the key for the Colonials in the last two games. Yesterday vs. Norfolk State, Robert Morris hit ten 3’s and followed that up by making eleven three balls today.
Last year, Robert Morris (3-3) only made ten 3’s in a game only once.
The Colonials had a balanced scoring sheet as sophomore guard Dachon Burke paced the way with 17 points, freshman Koby Thomas and Matty McConnell had 15 points while Leondre Washington chipped in with 12 points.
Next up for Toole’s team is a game Wednesday night at Youngstown State. Tip-off is set for 7 PM.
