Clairton wide receiver Aaron Mathews is one of the most talked about recruits in the WPIAL. Everyone wants to know who Mathews will select.
I had a chance to talk with the talented athlete and got an update on his recruitment. This past weekend Mathews visited West Virginia for the Texas game and I asked him about it.

“It was a nice trip and the atmosphere was great”, said Mathews. So what’s next for Mathews?
He plans on attending the Pitt/Louisville game Saturday and after that “I’m going to plan a visit to North Carolina State soon.”
It appears as though he is down to 3 schools: Pitt, West Virginia and NC State. The funny thing is those 3 schools are recruiting him at different positions.
“Pitt is looking at me as a safety, West Virginia is looking at me as an athlete and NC State is looking at me as a wide receiver.”
So is Mathews close to deciding?
“I’ll be deciding soon I just don’t know where to yet.”
