Monday Night Pitt Recruiting Notes

Here’s a Monday night look at some Pitt/WPIAL recruiting notes that I’ve gathered throughout the day.

*2017 4-star DE Jake Lawler (Charlotte) told me today that he’s “going to try and make a visit to Pitt in December.”  Lawler is a big-time recruit and teammates with DE Zack Gilbert.

*Speaking of Gilbert, I heard back from him tonight.   Told me that he hasn’t talked to his parents seriously yet about his visit to Pitt.  “They wanted to give me time to think”, said Gilbert.  I expect a decision to come soon.

*2016 4-star athlete George Hill visited Wisconsin this past weekend and described the weekend as “Great.” Hill then told me that he’s going to the Michigan State game this coming weekend and “then Pitt soon.”

I’m expecting to get a few more “nuggets” later tonight so check back for updates.

(9:21 PM): Current Nebraska commit DE Quayshon Alexander announced on Twitter that he’ll make an official visit to Pitt on December 11th.  Alexander is a big-time DE from New Jersey and has offers from Michigan, Notre Dame, Va Tech, Arizona State, Miami and Ole Miss.
