Pitt’s Mystery Recruit?

Published

on

It’s been the talk of Pittsburgh Twitter since the “Pat Signal” came out yesterday afternoon, “Who’s committed to Pitt?”

Since Coach Narduzzi’s tweet, I’ve been texting, calling, Direct Messaging trying to come up with information.

Here’s what I’ve learned in the last 24 hours:

**Players that have told me they haven’t committed to Pitt: Aaron Mathews, Zack Gilbert, Jo-El Shaw, Quayshon Alexander, Elijah Deveaux. Just as I was writing this, I heard from Donovan Jeter and he told me it wasn’t him.

**Ohio athlete George Hill……Don’t see it being him….He’s scheduled to be in East Lansing Saturday for the Penn St/Michigan St game….

**McKeesport’s Khaleke Hudson….Just talked to him 2 nights ago and he told me that he wasn’t close to committing

**Virginia DE Patrick Jones…..Was scheduled to make an official visit to NC State this weekend but just within the hour he canceled it…..Could be him but I doubt it

**Take this for what it’s worth: A 2016 recruit (for another team) told me that he heard Pitt’s commitment wasn’t a flip, but a straight commitment

**Now let’s talk about the player every Pitt fan is hoping this commitment is: Miles Sanders.  I’ve gotten 2 direct messages from members of Penn State social media sites, asking me what I was hearing. After I told them my information, they told me they were thinking it could be Sanders.

Check back to this and I’ll update this with new info I’ve learned.

(4:30 PM)-
*Chicago DT Amir Watts and Virginia DE Patrick Jones both told me that they didn’t commit to Pitt.
