Pitt hosted a number of local recruits with offers but they also brought in a lineman from New Jersey looking for an offer.

Thomas Lopez (6-5, 280) from Middletown, New Jersey arrived in Pittsburgh looking for an offer from Pitt.  Well did it happen?

“No offer but things are looking bright for me in the future”, said Lopez. Also, Coach Salem my recruiting coach is going to come watch me practice on Wednesday.”

I then asked Lopez about the day, impressions of Pittsburgh, etc.

“I loved the new champion club that Pitt brought the recruits into, I thought it was great”, said Lopez. “You can definitely feel that Pitt is starting to become the power house that it once was. I know they lost to Miami today but you can just get the sense that things are moving in great direction. I can tell you things are looking bright for me in the future.”

Lopez is a prospect that’s been setback by injuries (torn labrum) for the last couple of seasons.  Fortunate for him, he was injury free this season.
