Camp Will Take Official Visit To Pitt

The Pitt football coaches are talking with all sorts of prospects, including ones that have already given verbal commitments to other schools.

If you don’t think Pat Narduzzi and his staff have confidence, how about them trying to flip a player that’s committed to USC.

That’s the case because Pitt is actively pursing USC commit DT Keyshon Camp. In fact,  Pitt defensive coordinator Josh Conklin was at Camp’s house last night for a in-house visit.

This afternoon, I was able to contact Camp (Lakeland, Fla.) and talk to him about his meeting with Pitt and he was impressed with Conklin.

” I like that he’s a straight up person that knows what he’s talking about”, said Camp.

Camp says that Pitt is reminding him that with 2 defensive lineman graduating, playing time is available.  Camp also told me, “they’re not trying to sell me on the school they want me to get up there to see it for myself.”

So will he, will Camp make an official visit to Pitt?

“Yes,  I’m supposed to be taking my official visit to Pitt on Jan. 15”, said Camp.

Recruits get to take 5 official visits to schools. Camp took his official visit to USC at the beginning of November and visited Michigan in September. So, with 3 left, it looks to be Pitt, Alabama and Oregon.

I should also mention  that while Camp is exploring his options, he’s still a USC Trojan.

“For me to change my mind, a school is really going to have to WOW me.”

Time will tell if Narduzzi and Pitt are able to do that.
