Friday Pitt Recruiting Notebook

Here are some Pitt football recruiting notes from today:

** DT Amir Watts picked up a nice offer today. The 3-star DT from Chicago received an offer from Mike Riley and Nebraska. Prior to today, Watts was believed to have a final 2 of Pitt and Minnesota.  Watts will make an official visit to Pitt on January 22nd.

*The PIAA football playoffs started tonight and as you’d imagine Pitt coaches are out recruiting.   Pitt defensive coordinator Josh Conklin is at the Clairton game watching Lamont Wade and Aaron Mathews.

***Waiting for an update on how Pitt’s meeting with RB Robert Washington went. RB coach Andre Powell is in North Carolina talking with the talent running back.
