McKeesport’s Sutton Gets Big Offer

When the 2015 McKeesport football team is talked about, Khaleke Hudson is the first name most people mention.

But an equally valuable member was Tymar Sutton.

Sutton (6-0, 207) is a talented 2-star outside linebacker that’s seeing his list of offers grow by the week.

This week, Sutton picked up an offer Iowa State’s new head coach Matt Campbell. Sutton told me, “I was very excited to get it, the Iowa State offer was something new.”

Was it a surprise that you received it?

“No, I was pretty sure they were going  to stick with me, they meaning Coach Campbell and Coach Tyson Veidt. Both of the are great guys”, said Sutton.

“They told me I was one player they can see making a change for them at Iowa State. Plus, they told me that I’m a overall good person and a good student athlete.”

Iowa Stare must have made an impression with Sutton because he tells me that he has an official visit set up next Saturday (week from today).

Iowa State joins hits list of Boston College, Illinois, Maryland, Navy, Miami of Ohio, Syracuse , Wisconsin and Toledo.

Illinois was rumored to be the leader for Sutton, does Iowa State change that?

“Yes, it changes but we’ll see.”

Sutton would also like to take other official visits,, possibly to Wake Forest, Wisconsin and Toldeo.
