Conner First Chemo Treatment

Just wanted to give Pitt fans an update on James Conner and his battle with cancer.

A member of Conner’s family messaged me to update me since today was Conner’s first day of chemo treatment.

The family member told me that the Pitt football team gave James a signed game ball to carry with him to every chemo treatment.

He went on to tell me that when James was being hooked up to medicine, nurses offered to put him in a private room away from all other patients. James said. “Thank you but no. I am no one special treat me like everyone else”

His family tells me that “Pittsburgh has been so good to James and our family. We like keeping it positive and keeping them in on the journey.”
