Chaney Leaves Pitt For Georgia

Shocking news today from Pitt as it was announced that offensive coordinator Jim Chaney is gone.

Chaney is leaving Pitt to join Kirby Smart at Georgia.

In a statement, Pat Narduzzi said, “On behalf of our entire program I would like to thank Jim for his contributions to Pitt. His work was very important as we established our program in our first year. In addition to being an excellent football coach, he is a tremendous person and we wish him and his family the very best.”

At the end of the season, there were signs of some tension between Narduzzi and Chaney. However, on Friday said that he expected all members of his staff to return.
