Fla CB Commits To Pitt

Right before 2 PM, Pitt fans got an unexpected surprise when Florida CB Henry Miller announced on Twitter that he was going to Pitt.

Wasn’t a shock that Miller picked Pitt, the time of his commitment was.  The 3-star CB was scheduled to make his decision at 7 PM.

Miller is a big get for Pitt’s program because of his position and skill set.  Talented 6-3 cornerbacks are rare and Pat Narduzzi just landed one.

Earlier in the day, I talked to Miller about his decision to pick Pitt.

“When I went on my official visit, it just felt right”, said Miller. “Everything just felt so smooth for me there and all the love everyone gave me. Plus, when I was there, I just bonded with the players.”

It was Miller’s first time to Pittsburgh and he loved the city.

“I enjoyed the setup of the campus and the tutoring that’s available. Plus, the city is very beautiful. The whole place just opened my eyes when I got there.”

It goes without saying that Pat Narduzzi was key in Miller deciding on the Panthers.

“He’s just a cool guy and will be an even better mentor”, said Miller. “I liked that he was very involved in my visit and that he really loves the university.”

In the end, it came down to Pitt vs. North Carolina State and it was a difficult decision to make.

“It was a very, very, very hard decision but in the end it came down to what I liked best. Plus, it came down to what coach was talking about more than football. I can see myself fitting in Pitt’s defense better and reaching my full potential”, said Miller.

Miller is Pitt’s 18th commit for the Class of 2016.
