Here are some Pitt and WPIAL Recruiting notes that I’ve gathered.

**Beaver Falls 2017 4-star DL Donovan Jeter picked up an offer today from South Carolina. This elite prospect now holds 18 offers. Jeter is a top priority for Pitt’s Class of 2017.

**One of the two recruits that I’m told have given Pitt a silent verbal was in contact with the Pitt coaching staff. I’m told that Pitt assistant Tim Salem spoke to this recruit just to stay in touch. I expect something to happen soon.

**Central Catholic 2017 DT Kurt Hinish picked up an offer today from Iowa State. New coach Matt Campbell is doing his best to have an impact in Western Pa. 2 weeks ago, Iowa St received a commitment from McKeesport LB Tymar Sutton.

**Iowa State also offered 2017 Central Catholic LB David Adams, who’s ranked as the #2 ILB in the country. By this time next year, Adams will have offers from every major school in the country. I think he’s the most important recruit that Pat Narduzzi and Pitt can get next year.

**A guy I mentioned that could get a look as Pitt’s next offensive coordinator may have another shot in the NFL. Various reports say that former Browns OC John DeFilippo may get an interview for the vacant St. Louis Rams OC position.

**Akron 4-star athlete Jonah Morris tweeted that he’s pretty sure he knows what school he wants to play for. Morris says that he could announce on Signing Day or sooner. After he tweeted that, I talked to Morris and he told me that he’s still working on a date to make an official visit to Pitt.
