Where Will Pitt Coaches Be Tomorrow?

Published

on

For fans of recruiting, today is like Christmas Eve. Tomorrow the college football dead period is over, which means coaches are free to visit potential recruits.

Coaches have three more weeks to try and 1) convince potential recruits to commit to them 2) strengthen their relationship with kids that have already verbally committed.

Schools never take for granted that a previous commitment will stick. Plenty of examples of recruits backing out of a commitment at the last minute. No coach wants to see that happen.

Looks at though Pat Narduzzi’s strategy tomorrow is to send most of his assistants to see kids that have already verbaled.

Here’s visits for tomorrow that I’ve been able to confirm:

**Pat Narduzzi- will visit Brandon Ford who was Pitt’s first verbal commitment for the Class of 2016

**Matt Canada- will visit 4-star QB Thomas MacVittie. Very important meeting as Canada personally meets his future quarterback for the first time.

**Tim Salem- will visit with LB Elias Reynolds, who’ll also be making an official visit to Pitt this weekend. Linebacker is a need area for Pitt and Narduzzi would love to get a commitment from Reynolds this weekend. However, Reynolds told me that won’t happen because he’s committed to making an official visit to Rutgers next weekend.

**Josh Conklin- will be in Florida to visit Henry Miller and Zack Williams.

**Thomas Sims- will be in Chicago to visit DT Amir Watts, who’s someone Pitt really wants. Watts recruitment is picking up lately, as he’s received offers from Maryland and Iowa State.

This will be an article that I’ll update throughout the day as I hear back from recruits so please check back for updates.

UPDATE-
**Matt Canada- Aside from QB Thomas MacVittie, Canada will also visit his new 4-star WR Ruben Flowers. Those two players are a big part of Pitt’s future.

UPDATE (4:01 PM)-
**WR Coach Kevin Sherman will be in Kansas tomorrow visiting 4-star WR Juwann Winfree.

UPDATE (5:06 PM)-
**LB Coach Rob Harley will visit with WR K’Von Wallace, who’s currently committed to Cincinnati. Wallace received an offer from Pitt last week and is seriously considering the offer.
