2016 National Letter of Intent Day is 11 days and the Pitt football coaches are involved with some elite talent.
To this point, Pat Narduzzi has commitments from five 4-star ranked players:
Pitt football recruiting coverage sponsored by
RM LAW, P.C. is a boutique litigation law firm with a national practice dedicated to protecting shareholders’ interests and promoting improved corporate governance practices.
Ruben Flowers, WR
George Hill, RB/DB
Kaezon Pugh, LB
Juwann Winfree, WR
Thomas MacVittie, QB
Pitt has a realistic shot of increasing that number from 5 up to 8 4-star players. They’re finalists for the following players:
Damar Hamlin, Â CB
Darnell Salomon, WR
Amir Watts, DT
Khaleke Hudson, Â LB
The last time  Pitt had a recruiting class that had more than five 4 and 5 star players was back in 2008:
Jonathan Baldwin (5-star)
Chris Burns (4-star)
Shayne Hale (4-star)
Jarred Holley (4-star)
Lucas Nix (4-star)
Cam Saddler (4-star)
If Pitt is able to land these guys, the overall team ranking will no doubt improve. Currently, they are ranked 34th in Rivals Recruiting rankings.
