What will happen with Chase Pine?
This situation has been hard to read from the start. The Pitt coaching staff loves the talent of this 4-star linebacker. He appears to really like the Pitt coaching staff especially his potential position coach Rob Harley. However, despite always saying he’s 100% committed to Pitt, Pine has a need/want to visit other schools.
Whether it’s been Iowa State, Maryland or Virginia Tech, Pine felt the need to visit other campuses. The concerning aspect to his visit to Virginia Tech this weekend is that it came after he said he was done making visits. He said this publicly and also to the Pitt coaching staff.
This really puts the Pitt coaching staff in a tough position. Can they believe him that he’s going to sign on Wednesday?
Prediction: Despite the soap opera, I think Pine is going to end up committing to Pitt. In the end, he’s a high school kid that has a chance to visit different schools and different parts of the country.
2) What will happen with Keyshon Camp?
Camp is the talented 4-star defensive tackle from Florida. Camp was originally committed to USC before de-committing a couple weeks ago. Fortunately for Pitt, Josh Conklin continued to recruit Camp despite his commitment to USC. So when he became free, Camp was somewhat familiar with the Pitt coaches and made an official visit to Pitt.
Missouri appeared to be a serious contender for Camp until their defensive line coach left for a similar job with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Now it appears to be a 2-team race between Pitt and Michigan.
Prediction: It looks like Pitt will benefit from a position coach leaving and another school running out of scholarships. If Harbaugh wants Camp bad enough, don’t discount him dropping someone that’s already committed. However, I think Camp will sign with Pitt and Narduzzi will add another 4-star defensive player.
3) Will Henry Miller stick with Pitt?

Everyone knows the story, Miller is committed to Pitt but late in the process received interest from Ohio State and Miami, Fla. To my knowledge, Ohio State never offered but Miami did.
Will Miller stick with Pitt or go to the hometown school?
Prediction: Although it looks like a long shot, I’m going with the upset and say Miller will think about a potential secondary of him, Jordan Whitehead, Damar Hamlin and Paris Ford. Pitt will be it.
4) What’s Going On With Juwann Winfree?

I realize I caught a ton of criticism over this last night but I’m sticking with my original report. Despite the fact that none of the established recruiting outlets are reporting this, I continue to report that Winfree has de-committed from Pitt. He informed the coaches of this last night and told them he would be signing with Colorado.
Prediction: Pitt loses a 4-star WR and potential starter next season.
5) Who Will Damar Hamlin Select?
Cases could be made for all 3 remaining schools. Penn State- chance to play, atmosphere; Ohio State- national recognition, compete for National Title; Pitt- Hometown school, Pat Narduzzi defense
Prediction: Hamlin stay homes and feels the urge to join Jordan Whitehead in the Pitt secondary.
