Pat Narduzzi causes a stir early this morning when he sent out a “Pat Signal.” Since that time, Pitt fans just want to know who the new recruit is.
Since the alert came out, I’ve been on the phone and haven’t come up with much.
Here’s what I know:
**It isn’t Florida DE Rashad Weaver.
**Its not DT Keyshon Camp.
**Doesn’t LOOK like Penn St commit Shaka Toney because he’s welcoming and communicating with latest Penn State commitments. Even did do first thing this morning after the Pat Signal came out.
**Unless things have changed, K’Von Wallace has been pretty consistent that he’s deciding on Wednesday.
**That leaves Khaleke Hudson (would be stunned if it’s him), Henry Miller, Aaron Mathews, Damar Hamlin or a 2017 recruit.
What’s your guess??
UPDATE (12:27 PM)-
**Here’s something that I found out last night. Pitt is now offering Mathews a chance to play WR instead of defense. Will this cause Mathews to re-consider? Stay tuned.
UPDATE (3:09 PM)-
**Considering he was in the news this weekend, I sent a message to linebacker Chase Pine and asked him where things stood with Pitt and his recruitment. Also asked him if he knows where he’s going to sign? He replied, “Yes”. I followed up with, Where are you going to sign, he said, “Surprise.”
Does that mean he’s sticking with Pitt or flipping to someone else? Guess we’ll find out on Wednesday.

**Wide receiver Juwann Winfree officially announced that he’s no longer a Pitt recruit. Winfree announced on Twitter,
“Deciding what school I will attend, has definitely been one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make in my life. Though I’ve decided to decommit from the University of Pittsburgh. I just want to thank the University of Pittsburgh, its coaches and fans for the opportunity and the support they gave me.”

UPDATE (4:28 PM)-
**Hearing that Pitt is offering Woodland Hills OL Amon Youngblood a preferred walk-on spot. Being told that Youngblood isn’t sure if he’s going to take it.

UPDATE (4:43 PM)-
**Multiple sources tell me that Clairton WR Aaron Mathews WILL NOT attend Penn State. Where will be go? Stay tuned.
UPDATE (8:29 PM)-
**Not only is Pitt offering scholarships for 2017, tonight they gave one out for 2018.
Elijah McAllister (6-6, 215) is a TE from Rumson, New Jersey and tonight he picked up an offer from Pitt.
