Tuesday Pitt Football News

Thanks for checking in, I’ll be gathering Pitt information throughout today (Tuesday)-

**The Pitt coaching staff continues to actively recruit the state of Florida in search of elite talent.   St. Thomas Aquinas 4-star Tyler Dunning  (6-2, 220) told me that he’s picked up an offer from Pitt. “Coach Conklin was the coach from Pitt that told me about the offer. I’m considering Pitt very hard.”

Up until the firing of Al Golden, Dunning was committed to Miami but now says that he’s “open.”  In fact, Dunning says that “my top 5 is Tennessee, LSU, Syracuse, Kentucky and Pitt.”

**Former Pitt offensive lineman Jason Pinkston, who’s currently a free agent, recently had a workout with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

UPDATE (9:42 AM)-

**Central Catholic DT Kurt Hinish has been heavily recruited over the last couple of weeks and a couple  of those offers are making an impression with him.  “Little Panther” tells me that Pitt and Baylor are 2 schools that Hinish is really studying.  Pitt MAY be the “front-runner” but don’t count out Baylor.

UPDATE (9:51 PM)-
**Pitt made at least 3 offers tonight…..First one went to 4-star RB Adarius Zabri Lemons (6-1, 185) from Clearwater, Florida.  Rated as one of the top RB’s in the country.

**Second offer went to Toledo, Ohio 4-star DE  James Hudson.  This highly rated defensive end is already committed  to Kentucky but I don’t think that means much.

**Then the Pitt staff made an offer to an pretty good player in Detroit, Michigan, Kalon Gervin.  This was Gervin’s 10th offer.
