Pitt Make Lots Of Offers On Monday

Published

Monday was a busy day for the Pitt coaching staff as they handed out plenty of 2017 offers.

As you’d imagine, many of the players offered are very highly ranked players.  Since taking over, Pat Narduzzi and his staff don’t shy away from going after the elite players.

*Louis Acceus, a 3-star linebacker from Montvale, New Jersey.  Acceus (6-0, 200)  has offers from Wisconsin, Michigan State, Miami Fla, Maryland and Boston College.  Pitt has now offered multiple players from St. Joseph’s HS  in Montvale, New Jersey.

*Talk about aiming high, Pitt offered Anthony McFarland, the #1 ranked RB in the country.  McFarland (5-8, 183) is from DeMatha H.S. in Hyattsville, Maryland.  McFarland holds offers from Alabama, Florida State, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Penn State.  I’m sure RB coach Andre Powell is going to be the recruiter for McFarland.

*4-star cornerback Amir Riep also picked up an offer today from Pitt. Riep (6-0, 180) is from Cincinnati, Ohio and also has offers from every major school.  Along with the Panthers, Riep offer list includes Wisconsin, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Penn State, Ohio State, Oregon, Notre Dame, Michigan State and Miami of Florida.

*Speaking of St. Joseph’s HS in Montvale,  OT Robert Martin plans on making a visit to Pitt this coming Thursday.  Martin (6-6, 260)  announced that on Twitter.
