Report: Schneider To Pitt

Published

on

For the second year in a row, the Pitt football team is adding a transfer quarterback.   Last year it was Nate Peterman from Tennessee, this year it appears to be Central Florida’s Bo Schneider.

Although I’m still trying to confirm this, both Harry Psaros from Pittsburgh Post Game and Central Florida 24/7 are reporting that Schneider intends to transfer to Pitt.

Schnieder is finishing up his freshman year at Central Florida and reportedly plans to transfer to Pitt after the spring semester.

Schneider (6-3, 225) started 3 games last year for Central Florida but appeared in 8 games.  For the season, he was 54-105, 534 yards and 2 TD’s.

Coming out of high school in Dallas, Texas (Jesuit High School), Schneider was a 3-star recruit when signing with Central Florida.

If this transfer happens, Schneider would have to sit out the 2016 season and would have 3 years of eligibility remaining.   It would appear, that he’d battle incoming freshman Thomas MacVittie for the starting job in 2017.

This move also has to make you wonder about the future of some of the quarterbacks currently on the Pitt roster.

I’m in the process of trying to find out more information on this story so check back throughout the day.
