Published

Pitt has a long history of producing great wide receivers and today they offered a scholarship to one that they hope will be the next great one.

Tarik Black (Cheshire, CT) is one of the top wide receivers in the country and ranked as one of the top overall players in the entire country. Black is rated a 4-star prospect by Rivals and rated the 125th overall prospect in the country.

Black (6-4, 205) is a big, physical receiver but has speed (4.4 in the 40-yard dash).

As you can imagine, Black has offers from most of the top programs in the country: Alabama, Georgia, Miami of Fla, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Stanford and West Virginia.

Does Pitt have a chance with Black? Well last week, Black announced his “Top 5” of Alabama, Michigan, Notre Dame, UCLA and Stanford.

I asked Black since he already announced a “Top 5” if Pitt still has a chance?

Black replied, “things can change at anytime.”
