Charlotte quarterback Kingsley Ifedi had a lot of good things to say to me about his weekend visit here in Pittsburgh.

Ifedi  (6-4, 215), who holds  an offer from Pitt, made his first trip to Pittsburgh with his parents and I had a chance to briefly speak to him about the visit.

” Friday I just drove around the city with my family site seeing and just admiring the scenery. It was very different it being mountain terrain, it was different for me but I really liked the city”, said Ifedi. “Pittsburgh is very historic and unique, I’ve never seen anything like it. Seeing Heinz Field and the lakes was very exiting, there was a lot of things that made it one of a kind!”

“The football facilities were very unique especially being connected to the Steelers. It’s a great opportunity, literally within arms reach.
The city was better than I thought, it seems like a fun place to be. I didn’t know much about Pittsburgh before but it was a great experience overall”, said Ifedi.

“My parents are really behind any decision I make. They’ve just been supportive through the whole process. They had a great time  this weekend.”

So, I asked Ifedi if he was close to committing or would he be doing so in the near future?

“There is a great chance. Pittsburgh is a very unique place. The plan is to make a decision and commit before summer workouts which begin June 10th!”
