Pitt/WPIAL Recruiting Notes
It’s been a real busy start of the week for the Pitt coaching staff as they continue to offer players in both the 2017 and 2018 recruiting classes.
**Another day, another offer for a Florida player. 2018 WR Amari Burney (Clearwater, Florida) gets the Pitt offer tonight. Burney also has offers from Auburn, Florida and Miami of Fla.
**2018 Athlete Thomas Booker from Baltimore, Maryland also offered a scholarship. Booker (6-4, 245) also holds offers from Maryland and Michigan.

UPDATE (7:50 PM)-
**Early this morning, 2017 WR MJ Jarrell posted on Twitter that Pitt offered him. Jarrell (6-2, 183) is a wide receiver from Orlando, Florida. I’d guess that Jarrell received the offer from either Josh Conklin or Rob Harley. Jarrell offer list includes Duke, Indiana, Iowa State, Louisville, Maryland, NC State, South Carolina, Wake Forest and Virginia Tech.

**A few local WPIAL notes from today: Steel Valley RB Dewayne Murray received an offer from Cincinnati as did 2018 Penn Hills WR Julian Major.

**2018 Pine-Richland QB Phil Jurkovec received a big ACC offer tonight as Clemson becomes the latest school to get involved with the talented quarterback.

**A couple players that Pitt offered last week received offers today. Running back Devin Darrington (Bel Air, Maryland) received an offer from Rutgers while Washington DC DT Cam Goode received his second offer, this one from Toledo.

**Big offer tonight for Mars basketball star Robby Carmody as Notre Dame gets involved. This was first reported by Pgh BBall Report.

**Pitt coach Kevin Stallings just offered a big-time player from the state of Indiana. Malik Williams (6-11) a 4-star forward from Fort Wayne, Indiana got the news from Pitt. Williams has offers from Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Purdue, Temple, Michigan State, Xavier and NC State.
UPDATE (10:27 PM)-
**Another offer to a player from Florida. RB/FS Alec Sinkfield (5-10,185) from Plantation, Florida announced he received the offer. Sinkfield also has offers from Illinois, Kentucky and West Virginia and is reportedly very high on Kentucky. Will the Pitt offer change his mind?

UPDATE (10:53 PM)-
**Just heard back from Alec Sinkfield, who received an offer from Pitt tonight.
“Well Coach Salem offered me around 10 PM. “He talked about the school, the features, the opportunities, and academics of course”, said Sinkfield. “He was at my school today for practice.”
“Yes, Kentucky is defiantly at the top but Pitt is second to none and is a great school. I really don’t know anything about them but hopefully that will change over time. Pitt is defiantly in my Top 3. They’re recruiting me as an athlete, they really didn’t say a position.”

**Pine-Richland 2017 DE Ryan Duran received an offer tonight from Western Michigan.
