Let’s see what news and notes we can come up with today as the Pitt coaches are out and about scouting potential prospects.   I’m off from KDKA-TV, so I’ll do my best to provide plenty of updates over the next 48 hours.  Here we go!

**I told you yesterday that Pitt offered 2018 OT Qadir White from the Bronx, New York.  Pitt is the first Power 5 school to offer this huge (6-7, 291) offensive line 2018 prospect.

“The Pitt offer was great! I was really excited when I got it because it’s an opportunity that’s been placed in front of me”, said White.  “I just have to keep putting in the work and playing at a high level.”

“This offer from Pitt just makes me want to work even harder as a student athlete both on and off the field.”

Since receiving the offer from Coach Salem, White has done some research on the Pitt football program.

“I’ve heard a lot about Pitt.  They have a great football program and right now they have the top offensive line in the ACC.”

White tells me that he’s never been to Pittsburgh but that he plans on visiting soon.

**In case you missed it, Pitt offered 2018 elite Harrisburg wide receiver Shaquon Anderson-Butts.   Pitt joins Penn State, West Virginia, Rutgers, Temple and Syracuse as teams that have offered Anderson Butts.   The 2018 speedy receiver tells me that he does have interest in the Pitt football program.
