Pitt Offers Florida Forward

Published

Kevin Stalling and his staff’s approach to recruiting is looking a lot different from when Jamie Dixon was head coach.  While Dixon mostly focused on players in the Northeast, Stalling is offering players from many different states.

The latest player offered by Stalling is Ft.  Lauderdale (Fla.) RaiQuan Gray.  The 6-8, 235 pound forward is from Dillard High School and is ranked as one of the Top 150 players in the country.

Gray holds offers from USC, Memphis, Baylor, Tennessee, Florida State, Clemson, Illinois, Cincinnati, Auburn, Ole Miss, Virginia Tech and Kansas  State.

While doing an interview with Rivals.com in April, Gray listed a Top 4 of Auburn, Ole Miss, Virginia Tech and Kansas State.

UPDATE (9:41 PM)-
Just got reaction from Florida forward RaiQuan Gray, who received an offer tonight from Kevin Stallings and Pitt.

“I like Pitt a lot! I know that they’re always a good team in the ACC.  Coach Stallings offered me and said that he loved my game and has coached guys in the past like me”, said Gray.

Gray tells me that the strong part  of his game is his versatility on the court and his passing ability for a big guy.

“Most definitely I’ll consider Pitt because they play big-time competition.”
