**Final day of the Pitt football camp and the final day for recruits to have face-face contact with recruits until July 11 (dead period).

**I was told this morning that 4-star 2017 TE Charles Reeves (Steubenville, Ohio) is arriving in Pittsburgh today for the camp. Reeves is a player that Pitt has been recruiting hard for months and a player that is probably the  #1 TE on their recruiting board.  Reeves is a big-time talent with 29 offers, including a recent one from Alabama.

UPDATE (10:18 AM)-

**Was told that 2 prospects from Montclair, New Jersey are on the South Side.  2017 TE Cameron Lipton-Martinez (6-4, 205) and 2017 WR Ivan McDaniel (6-4, 205) will workout for the Pitt coaches today.  Both Lipton-Martinez and McDaniel are teammates of Pitt 2017 commit Owen Drexel.

**Wilkes-Barre 3-star OG Ryan Solt (6-3, 290) messaged me that he was on his way to Pittsburgh. Solt currently holds an offers from Rutgers, Syracuse, Maryland and Army, but he says that he’s really hoping to earn an offer from Pitt. I’ll be talking with Solt at the end of his workout.

UPDATE (11:14 AM)-

**Great news for the Pitt football team. I just talked with one of the best players in the country who told me that he plans on returning to Pitt.

Drew Singleton (Paramus Catholic, New Jersey), the #2 ranked linebacker in the country, visited Pitt yesterday and came away impressed. Moments ago, I spoke with him.

First off, I asked him about his decision to visit yesterday, which came as a pleasant surprise.

“Coach Salem and Coach Harley have been recruiting me heavily and insisted I should come for a visit. Also, I figured if my “Big Brother” Saleem Brightwell liked it I should look into it,” said Singleton.

So, what did you think about your first visit to the city of Pittsburgh?

“I loved the energy and atmosphere of the city, it had a lot of amazing sights in it.”

“I would grade the day an A, the most impressive thing I learned from the visit was that Pitt has the number 1 business school in the country,” said Singleton.

I then asked him about this interaction with the staff and did he feel comfortable?

“The coaches gave me a warm welcome, Coach Harley, Coach Salem, Coach Kabala and Coach Duzzi. They just talked to me about the impact I could make on the school and how I would thrive there as a person.”

So what other message was Pitt trying to recruit this elite prospect on and was it enough for him to give Pitt a return visit?

“They didn’t use any pitches, they were straight forward with hard facts. They weren’t trying to sell me anything they were giving me a honest look at the program,” said Singleton.

“I will be returning to Pitt and they definitely have my interest.”

UPDATE (11:49 AM)-

**Fairfield, Ohio CB Josiah Scott is in Pittsburgh for his visit to Pitt.  Keep an eye on him today.

UPDATE (4:11 PM)-

**Pitt extended an offer to CB Kenny Bennett (Simon Gratz, Philadelphia). Bennett recently visited Pitt and I was told by a veteran recruiter that he believes Bennett is “going to be a really good player and is a diamond in the rough.”

I just received a message from Bennett who gave me his reaction to the offer.

“I was graceful (for the offer) and excited to receive it. I knew after my performance at camp that Pitt was going to offer sooner or later. Coach Conklin called me and told me that I was his guy and that I was top on his list. Then he finished by saying I’m offering you a scholarship,” said Bennett.

This is Bennett’s 8th offer and tells me he doesn’t plan to make a decision anytime soon.
