Could Pitt’s recent pipeline to the state of Ohio land them another recruit? This wouldn’t just be any old recruit, it would be an elite, 4-star prospect.
Charles Reeves (6-5, 240) is a player that the Pitt coaching staff has been recruiting for a while and is likely at the top of Pitt’s recruiting board for tight ends. The Steubenville, Ohio athlete has visited Pitt a couple of times and speaks regularly with head coach Pat Narduzzi.
“Coach Narduzzi is the coolest coach I’ve ever met,” said Reeves. “He knows my coaches so I talk to him often.”

Narduzzi and Pitt aren’t the only schools that Reeves talk with in fact, he recently received a really big offer that both surprised and excited him. Nick Saban and Alabama called him and offered him a scholarship.
“Getting that offer from Alabama was crazy! I thought they were just gonna talk to me (but they offered me a scholarship),” said Reeves. “It was the best feeling I had in a while.”
Aside from Pitt and Alabama, Reeves also holds offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Illinois, Kentucky, Rutgers, Wisconsin and Syracuse.
So, of all these schools, I asked Reeve which team is at the top of his list and what’s his timeline for making a decision?
“Pitt is Number 1 on my list,” said Reeves. “It feel good to be #1 on a high team like Pitt’s recruiting board. Yes, I could see myself committing to a school soon.”
