4 Days Away!!

** Aliquippa 2018 star safety Kwantel Raines confirmed to me last night that he’ll be making visits the next weekends. This coming weekend, Raines will visit Penn State and next Saturday, he’ll make another trip to visit Pitt. One other thing that Raines said to me is that unlike some other prospects, he’s nowhere close to making a decision.

** Speaking of star prospects, Steubenville, Ohio 2017 4-star TE Charles Reeves will visit Syracuse next week. Reeves is the top tight end target on Pitt’s recruiting board.

** A top Pennsylvania 2018 recruit has made a decision.  Erie Prep 4-star linebacker Bo Bauer gave a verbal commitment last night to Notre Dame. Bauer (6-3, 215) picked Notre Dame over offers from Pitt, Penn State, West Virginia, Michigan State, Maryland and Virginia.

** The Duquesne basketball staff has extended another offer to a player from Florida. Westminster Academy forward Jason Strong (Ft.  Lauderdale, Florida) received an offer from the Dukes last night.  Strong (6-9, 180) also holds offers from UTEP, Florida Gulf Coast, Virginia Tech, Northeastern and Bucknell. Over the last 2 weeks, Head Coach Jim Ferry has offered at least 5 prospects from Florida.

UPDATE (9:37 PM)-

**Pitt has one of the richest histories in all of college football and tonight Pat Narduzzi offered the nephew of one of Pitt’s all-time bests.

Jarrett Jackson is a 2018 4-star TE/DE from Florida and is the nephew of former Pitt All-American Rickey Jackson. Minutes after receiving the offer, I spoke with Jackson.

“Coach Tim Salem offered me and he is actually the TE coach which is recruiting me. He said that I’m one of the areas top recruits and I’m obviously a national recruit in the 2018 class.  I was ecstatic about the offer and Pitt is a very nice school but it’s to early to judge whether I could have interest in them but Pitt is a great school. I kind of have some ties up there with my uncle Rickey Jackson playing for them back in the day,” said Jackson.

Jackson already has a ton of Power 5 offers including Florida and West Virginia. In fact, along with Pitt, Jackson was also offered by Tennessee today.
