Coach Narduzzi and the Panthers start the second week of training camp and this week, the players will go through a week of double practices. They’ll be on the field at 10 AM this morning and then again in the evening.

In preparation of this difficult week, last night the assistant coaches hosted their position players for dinner. Here’s a look at some pictures.

UPDATE (11:54 AM)-

** More NFL Scouts at Pitt practice this morning as we spotted reps from the Rams, Chiefs, Dolphins and Vikings on the practice field.

** In the short period that we’re permitted to watch, a player that really jumped out to me was WR Aaron Mathews. Not only does his size stand out but his skill as a wideout is evident. Alan Saunders said this to me, “Mathews looks very comfortable going down the field, turning and looking for the ball.”

UPDATE (12:02 PM)-

** Dane Jackson was playing behind Ryan Lewis at RCB, that’s a spot that Damar Hamlin and Bricen Garner have been in. Does that mean Jackson is showing something to the coaches?

** Pat Narduzzi said before practice that right now, senior Manny Stocker is ahead of redshirt freshman Ben DiNucci for the backup QB spot. If DiNucci is going to pass Stocker, he’s going to have to be a lot more accurate, because Stocker’s mobility is a big plus for him.

**During the media window, the 1st team OL was: Bisnowaty (LT), Johnson (LG), Bookser(C), Guy (RG) and O’Neil (RT).

UPDATE (12:15 PM)-

** Redshirt freshman tight end Devon Edwards was getting some time with the first team. The top 3 wide receivers were Dontez Ford, Quadree Henderson and Jester Weah.

** 2nd team offensive line was (no order): Carson Baker, Connor Dintino, Alex Officer, Jaryd Jones-Smith, Aaron Reese   Wideouts were Rafael Araujo-Lopes, Tre Tipton and Chris Wuestner.
