UPDATE (1:10 PM)-

** I caught up briefly with Ohio 4-star athlete Jarell White, who was at Heinz Field yesterday. As many of you know, Pitt has been recruiting White for months but hasn’t offered him yet

“Nothing really stood out to me that much because it was my 2nd time up but the crowd was pretty exciting,” said White.

“Many of the Pitt coaches sat down with me and we talked. It was about me playing and being that playmaker for them. An offer was brought up and the only thing is they don’t know what position they want to play me at so it’s taking longer than usual,” said White.

“If were to offer, they’d be a top school for me.”

UPDATE (12:49 PM)-

** Got a message from 2017 4-star forward Kimani Lawrence who’s on a official visit with the Pitt basketball team. Lawrence told me that “the visit is going very well” but that he wouldn’t be making any decisions before he left Pittsburgh today.

It was a big day on and off the field for Pitt football yesterday. Anytime you’re able to land a big recruit and pick up a conference win, it’s a good day.

Carter Warren is the 3rd offensive lineman to verbally commit to the Panthers, joining Owen Drexel and Gabe Houy. I’d guess that list will grow to four because I’m confident that Ohio offensive tackle Thayer Munford will eventually join Pitt.

Like I said when Donovan Jeter decided to join Notre Dame and people were worried about Pitt, just relax. Come February, Pat Narduzzi and his staff will get their share of quality recruits and will put together a very good recruiting class.
