Sorry for starting this so late but was in a meeting with another addition to Pittsburgh Sports Now. Hopefully, I’ll be able to introduce you to her later today. She’s going to be a valuable member of PSN and part of our long term future.

UPDATE (8:53 PM)-

A major Pitt football 2018 target received a pretty big offer tonight.

UPDATE (3:24 PM)-

** Per Jerry Meyer of 247 Sports, the Pitt basketball staff was in the gym watching 2018 4-star prospect Nassir Little. 247 Sports rates Little (6-6 small forward) as one of the Top 40 players in the country.

UPDATE (1:15 PM)-

** Over the weekend, Pitt extended an offer to 2017 Florida defensive end Kevince Brown. A few minutes ago, I was able to ask Brown (6-5, 230) about the offer and his thought on Pitt.

“I was very excited that they offered me because Pitt is a great school,” said Brown. “I’ve actually been talking with Pitt since my junior season.”

So what do the Pitt coaches like about Brown that’s made them offer?

“I’m not afraid to work hard and the Pitt coaches likes the way I can get past the OL and get to the quarterback.”

“Pitt’s defense is great, I love the way they play. Pitt is definitely in my top 3,” said Brown.

Brown currently holds offers from Kentucky, Oregon State and Rutgers and is rated a 3-star recruit by 247 Sports.

UPDATE (1:04 PM)-

** Which senior players on the Pitt roster could get picked in the 2017 NFL Draft? CBS Sports released his latest draft update and listed a few Panther players.

UPDATE (12:27 PM)-

UPDATE (11:37 AM)-

** 2017 Top 50 recruit Kimani Lawrence is the big recruit on the board that Kevin Stallings is trying to close on. In fact, Stallings will reportedly see Lawrence today.

I messaged Lawrence a few minutes ago and he told me that he’ll make his last official visit this weekend and it will be to Florida.

I then asked him for a timeline for his final decision, but he wasn’t able to give me an exact month or date.

UPDATE (11:28 AM)-

** Was Saturday the only time we’ll see the throwback uniforms this season? I was told this morning that there’s a chance we see them again but it will be up to the leadership council on the current Pitt team. Stay tuned.

UPDATE (11:22 AM)-

** I’m surprised about this commitment. Matt Turner, a 3-star shooting guard who I thought Pitt had a really good chance with, decides to go out West.
