With a couple of openings in their Class of 2017, Kevin Stallings and his staff will host a few recruits this weekend.

Last night, Corey Evans from HoopSeen reported that three prospects will make official visits to Oakland this weekend.

Wilson-Frame is a small forward from Notre Dame Prep (Fitchburg, Massachusetts), Haase is 6-8 forward with offers from Pitt, Missouri, Purdue and Saint Louis.

The other recruit coming to town is Brewster Academy 2017 Point Guard Michael Okauru. Currently , Okauru holds offers from Pitt, Clemson and Rutgers.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the school and its facilities,” said Okauru. “I also want to meet the current players and ask them how Coach Stallings is as a coach.”

“From what I’m seeing and after talking to Coach Stallings, he seems like a person that will help develop my game and could get me to the next level.”

Aside from the offers from Pitt, Clemson and Rutgers, Okauru is also hearing from VCU, UNLV, Florida and LSU. Okauru is arriving in town Thursday and likes what he’s hearing from the Pitt coaches.

“They’re saying I have the opportunity to come in right away and play. They like the versatility in my game and think I’m great at the point guard position and also off the ball because I can score,” said Okauru.

The senior guard tells me that he’ll make his decision when it feels right and that could be this weekend or later on but does like the fact that he seems like a priority for the Pitt coaches.

“I do get the sense that I’m a big priority for Pitt. That’s very important to me because I want to go to a place that needs me.”
