UPDATE (8:39 PM)-
**The headline for today is this: Pitt coach Kevin Sherman met with 4-star DE Tyjuan Garbutt (Fredericksburg, Virginia). Garbutt is an elite talent and someone that this staff has been pursuing for 2 years. I’m being told that it’s likely Garbutt has decided to make an official visit to Pitt, just trying to determine a date to do so.
UPDATE (8:28 PM)-
**As I type this, a couple Pitt coaches are making in home visits. Coach Harley is meeting with one of his future players in LB Kyle Nunn.
**Coach Narduzzi and Coach Salem are in Florida meeting with DE Deslin Alexandre (Deerfield Beach High School), who’s currently committed to NC State

I’ll have more on these 2 players a bit later.
UPDATE (6:37 PM)-
**Some updated news on Notre Dame quarterback Malik Zaire, who plans on transferring from Notre Dame. Sean Merriman from the Detroit Free Press is reporting that Notre Dame has blocked Zaire from going to Michigan State because the Irish play Michigan State in 2017.
Also, a source tells our Alan Saunders that he believes Pitt and Florida are the front-runners for Zaire, although he isn’t close to making a decision.
UPDATE (5:42 PM)-
**Armstrong Central star running back Zane Dudek received an offer tonight from Kent State and Penn Hills athlete Ricky Squires was offered by Cincinnati. By the way, that was Dudek’s first D-1 offer.
UPDATE (5:35 PM)-
**Pitt 4-star running back commit Todd Sibley tells me that the Pitt coaches will be visiting him tomorrow in Ohio.
UPDATE (4:15 PM)-
**Half of the Pitt coaching staff is in Florida recruiting so it only makes sense that the player they offered today is from the Sunshine State.
2017 cornerback Endrickson Boucher (5-11, 173) from Boynton Beach, Florida picked up an offer from the Panthers. Boucher is a 3-star prospect with offers from Pitt, Arkansas and Temple.

UPDATE (12:46 PM)-
**Just spoke briefly to a 2018 recruit from Georgia that’s received his first contact from Pitt. Yesterday, Coach Sherman stopped by the school of running back Colby Wood from Jefferson High School in Jefferson, Georgia.
“It was the first time that Pitt’s made contact with me. Coach Sherman stated to my coach that he needed some Georgia boys to come up and play for them. He said that I was the guy and that he was very interested in me. We are going to be in touch a lot,” said Wood.
“I consider myself a selfless player. My teammates come before me. I think my biggest strength is my vision, being patient and waiting for blocks to set up.”

Wood told me that he holds an offer from Navy and is getting interest from Virginia, Virginia Tech, Auburn, Arkansas and East Carolina.
One other note about Wood, he tells me that he has relatives who live in Murraysville.
UPDATE (11:48 PM)-
**A reliable source tells me that Pitt WR coach Kevin Sherman met with Miami 4-star WR Carmoni Green on Tuesday. This source says the visit went really well and Green wants to make a visit to Pitt, although an exact date hasn’t been determined. Green is currently committed to Illinois but is becoming intrigued by Pitt. This is a situation that you want to keep your eye on.
UPDATE (11:05 AM)-
Stephen Zayas is a long, athletic defensive end. A praying mantis on the football field. #Pitt fans, think Greg Romeus https://t.co/9JRihy8BIq

UPDATE (10:47 AM)-
**I’ve been informed that Pitt LB coach Rob Harley is in Columbus, Ohio today to check in on 2018 linebacker Brian Asamoah. Pitt was the first school to offer Asamoah a scholarship and his recruiting has really picked up since then. Asamoah is a player that Pitt really likes.
UPDATE (8:52 AM)-
**Head coach Pat Narduzzi is still in Florida and will visit a talented defensive end that’s currently committed to another school. Deslin Alexandre, who’s currently committed to NC State and holds an offer from Pitt, will get a visit from Narduzzi.
UPDATE (7:26 AM)-
**I’ve confirmed that Coach Sims will meet today with talented North Carolina defensive end Zion DeBose, a player that recently picked up an offer from Pitt.

UPDATE (12:11 AM)-|
**Coach Harley will be in Ohio today meeting with 2017 commit LB Kyle Nunn.
**One of the Pitt coaches will be meeting with a BIG target today. I’ll let you know the name a bit later. Liked I mentioned on Monday, I don’t want to do anything to interfere with Pitt’s recruiting efforts.
UPDATE (12:10AM)-
**Coach Renaldo Hill was in Michigan on Monday and met with a number of prospects and met with coaches for some of the underclassman which they’re not permitted to speak with.
Source tells me that Hill was in Bloomfield, Michigan checking in on Jack Sape, a 2018 DE/TE from Bloomfield High School. Aside from Pitt, Sape is also getting looked at by Michigan State and Syracuse.
**Another underclassman to keep an eye on is 2018 running back/cornerback Colby Wood from Jefferson, Georgia. From what I understand, Coach Sherman stopped by to check in on him.
**Speaking of Coach Sherman, he was a busy man on Tuesday meeting with some interesting names. Sherman met with 4-star wide receiver Carmoni Green (who’s committed to Illinois), 3-star wide receiver D.J. Edwards (6-2, 180) and also 2017 wide receiver Michael Smith from Vero Beach, Florida. Smith (6-2, 205) is a new name and someone we’ll work to find more information on.
UPDATE (12:05 AM)-
**Pitt’s pursuit of talented defensive ends continues today as Coach Powell meets with Washington DC 2017 3-star Kofi Wardlow.
