**Coach Sherman meeting with 2017 wide receiver Dontavius Butler.

UPDATE (6:00 PM)-

**For the 2nd consecutive day, Coach Sims met with a 4-star defensive end. Yesterday,  it was TyJuan Garbutt and today it was with Florida 4-star DE Guy Thomas, who’s currently committed to Nebraska.

UPDATE (1:19 PM)-

**This morning Coach Sherman visited Vero Beach, Florida 2017 wide receiver Michael Smith and offered him a scholarship. This is the 8th offer Smith (6-2, 200) with other schools from Indiana and UConn. I’m also told that Smith will visit Pitt this weekend.

UPDATE (1:14 PM-)

**Just got word that Coach Salem is currently visiting with Florida DE and current NC State recruit Deslin Alexandre, who appears to be a real priority for the coaching staff.

UPDATE (11:08 AM)-

**After speaking at an event in town yesterday, LB coach Rob Harley was in Washington DC/Virginia area yesterday. I’m working to learn who he was visiting.

UPDATE (11:03 AM)-

**A big recruit may be back in play. South Florida is now looking for a head coach and 4-star athlete Bruce Judson, a player that’s expressed interest and visited Pitt, tweeted this out.

UPDATE (12:10 AM)-
**Last night, Florida 3-star wide receiver D.J. Edwards announced that he no longer will be enrolling in college early. There is talk that Edwards could be visiting Pitt this coming weekend but I haven’t been able to confirm that. However, I believe that one of the Pitt coaches, possibly Coach Sherman, could visit Edwards today.

**Pitt coaches reportedly attended the practice of Dillard, Florida 3-star defensive end Jordan Wright yesterday. Wright has offers from big schools like Alabama, Miami, Florida State, USC, Tennessee and Pitt. We’ll do our best to find if Wright had any contact with the Pitt coaches and if there is any interest.

**As we told you last night, Coach Sherman and Coach Sims visited Virginia 4-star DE Tyjuan Garbutt at his home. Although many people are predicting Garbutt recommits to Virginia Tech, I believe that Pitt has a legitimate chance with Garbutt.

**Look for Pitt to possibly offer another player from Florida today.

**DC Josh Conklin will be visiting a pair of cornerbacks today. Conklin will once again be with Philadelphia cornerback and Maryland commit Kenny Bennett and will also check in on 4-star New Jersey cornerback Harrison Hand.

**I believe Coach Powell will be in Georgia today visiting Connor Heyward, who made a visit to Michigan State over the weekend.
