Saturday Recruiting Notes

UPDATE (8:35 PM)-

**Pitt was a finalist for 4-star DT Kyree Campbell but tonight he gave a verbal commitment to Florida.  The Gators interest in Campbell is likely a result of losing Fred Hansard, who originally committed to them but flipped to Penn State last week.

UPDATE (5:22 PM)-

**Well the question of where is Lamont Wade this weekend has been answered. Looks like he’s in LA visiting UCLA.

UPDATE (4:13 PM)-

**Washington DC defensive tackle Jaylen Twyman getting a picture in a Pitt jersey.

UPDATE (3:03 PM)-

**Pitt 2017 running back commit Todd Sibley tweeted this after James Conner announced he was going to enter the NFL Draft.

UPDATE (12:00 AM)-

**To repeat something that I tweeted out last night, I received messages from two recruits that told me they’ll be making official visits to Pitt. The catch to this is that they’re currently committed to other schools . I’m waiting to receive permission from them to reveal their names because I don’t want to get them in trouble with the school they’re currently committed to.

**Twitter was buzzing yesterday that Clairton’s Lamont Wade was already enrolled at Penn State. Late last night, Wade cleared up those rumors.

**Check out Pitt 2017 commit wide receiver Dontavius Butler.

**The one thing that the Pitt football program offers that no other college program can is the opportunity to meet and interact with NFL players.

2017 Florida wide receiver Michael Smith found that out yesterday while on his official visit. Look who Smith ran into while at the Pitt complex on the South Side.

**One of the places the Pitt coaches took the recruits last night was up to Mt. Washington to see this view of the city.
