A surprise commitment tonight for the Pitt Panthers as they get a highly skilled defensive end from Florida.
3-star Deslin Alexandre announced that he was flipping his commitment from NC State to Pat Narduzzi and Pitt.

Alexandre (6-3, 229) is a pass-rushing end from Deerfield Beach, Florida and is a player that visited Pitt last weekend and has been recruited heavily by Coach Tim Salem. Alexandre is another recruit that Pitt has pulled from Florida.
“I called Coach Narduzzi who was with Coach Salem, Coach Conklin and Coach Sims and they were all so excited. They think I’ll be a great fit on the defense,” said Alexandre.
Alexandre tells me that his strength is getting to the quarterback but that he’s also strong at stopping the run.
“When I made the visit last weekend, I just knew that this was the place I wanted to be. I just liked the entire coaching staff and the players on the team.”
The timing of this was surprising because I talked with Alexandre yesterday and he told me he’d be making a final decision on Monday but decided that today was the day to become a Panther.
Alexandre will be an early enrollee and will arrive in Pittsburgh in January.
