Five-star Clairton cornerback Lamont Wade has verbally committed to Penn State, choosing the Nittany Lions over Pitt, West Virginia, Tennessee and UCLA at a ceremony in his hometown Saturday.

Wade also released a video regarding his commitment:

Wade had widely been considered to be leaning toward Penn State in the final weeks of his recruitment and did not take an official visit to Pitt.

Cornerback remains a position of need for the Panthers, and Pat Narduzzi and staff will now turn to other options in the secondary.
