Since the next couple of days will be spent mostly with family, I wanted to make sure that I sent a message out to all the readers of Pittsburgh Sports Now.
From everyone here at PSN, we want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday to you and your family. While we all care about Pitt and Duquesne athletics, the next few days is about spending time with family and friends, the things that really matter. In the end, that’s what it’s all about.
I’m very fortunate to have found a wife that is a 5-star recruit, 3 healthy kids, a big family and a lot of good friends. Doesn’t get better than that.
Over the last year, I’ve truly realized that I’m also really luck to have found something that I’m passionate and committed to and that’s this website.
A year ago, Joe Steigerwald and I had a vision of starting a Pitt/WPIAL recruiting website but had no idea if it could work. Since then, we’ve expanded our coverage to everyday Pitt football/basketball news, Duquesne basketball, have been fortunate to hire great people like Alan Saunders, Harry Psaros, David Hague, Rich Donahue, Tim Benz and Francis Guarneri. As you’ve come to realize, the work that these guys do is tremendous.
As important as anything is getting a few sponsors to believe in what we were doing in order to allow us to hire these people. Thank you to Pro Tapes, Cupka’s, Archie’s, Thompson Law Firm and others. We look forward to adding more sponsors and partners in 2017.
Finally, the support that you the readers have given us has been outstanding which is why we’re committed to making Pittsburgh Sports Now even better in the coming year. This month of December, we’ve already set a new high of site traffic for the month and we’re counting on that continuing next year.
Although I don’t know many of you, I feel like we’ve all become friends and once again say Thank You.
