**Four Star Defensive Tackle Kam Carter tells me that he will be making his official visit to Pitt next weekend. There is also a good chance Pitt coaches will be visiting him sometime this week. Carter has become a priority on the Panther’s recruiting board as they are looking to add two defensive tackles.

**Once again, Notre Dame has offered a cornerback but not Jason Pinnock, a major Pitt target.
UPDATE (8:56 AM)-
**Despite already giving Maryland a verbal commitment, Kofi Wardlow tells me he’ll take an official visit this weekend to Pitt. The Washington DC defensive end is a player that the Pitt coaches have recruited for awhile. I asked him why he decided to visit Pitt and do they have a chance with him and he replied, “Great education, great football program, football city, and I have family there and ….yes.”
UPDATE (6:32 AM)-
**Tomorrow recruiting gets serious as we head down the home stretch towards National Letter of Intent Day. Starting tomorrow the Dead Period is over with and coaches are permitted to visit prospective recruits.
Where will the Pitt coaches be tomorrow?
**I’ve learned that Coach Harley will be in Maryland visiting 4-star linebacker and current Virginia Tech commit Nathan Proctor. Despite Proctor committing to Virginia Tech, the Panthers aren’t going to give up recruiting him. Pitt will now have a chance to be around Proctor for four consecutive days because he’ll be making his official visit to Pitt this weekend. It’s obviously a big weekend for the Pitt coaches to try and make an impact on this big time prospect.
**Pitt is looking to add another defensive end to this class and will be with a prospect that they were first to offer. Coach Conklin will be in North Carolina visiting 3-star defensive end Zion Debose. Pitt is battling Illinois, Missouri and Virginia Tech for Debose. This weekend, Debose will be making an official visit to Illinois.
**On Monday, Pitt will be in West Palm Beach to visit with another defensive end. Coach Salem and Coach Sims are scheduled to see 3-star prospect Noah Curtis.
**The one receiver that Pitt is recruiting hard is Mike Smith and tomorrow Coach Sherman will be in Florida to visit him. Smith already made his official visit to Pitt and this appears to be a battle between Pitt and Notre Dame.
