Bryan Selects Iowa, What’s Next For Pitt?

Published

Tonight the question of whether Pitt would take commitments from both AJ Davis and Kyshaun Bryan was answered when Bryan selected someone other than Pitt.

Following his official visit to Iowa City, Bryan gave a verbal commitment to Kirk Ferentz and the Iowa Hawkeyes. This decision to join Iowa came 2 days after he de-committed from South Carolina.

Bryan told 247Sports that he ended up selecting Iowa because of reasons liked available playing time, the conference and the coaching staff. Those are all true but you also have to wonder if the number of running backs in Pitt’s 2017 Class played a role?

Pat Narduzzi has already received a commitment from talented Ohio back Todd Sibley and could there be another one coming?

I’m led to believe that the many people, recruits included, believe that Florida 4-star back A.J. Davis will commit to the Panthers on Signing Day. If this is true, it would make sense as to why Bryan didn’t pick Pitt.

Honestly, after talking to him a week ago, I was convinced that Bryan was going to be a Panther. Obviously, this talented player went in a different direction and we here at Pittsburgh Sports Now wish him nothing but the best in the Big 10.

The question now is will Pitt still land AJ Davis? We’ll find out on Wednesday.
