Ilegomah Commits To Kevin Stallings And Pitt

It didn’t take very long for Kevin Stallings to add the center of the future to his roster.

A day after receiving an offer the Pitt Panthers, 6-foot-10 center Peace Ilegomah (Montverde Basketball Academy, Fl) has given the Pitt Panthers a verbal commitment. Illegomah called Coach Stallings around 11:30 a.m. with the news.

Ilegomah is a raw talent that gives Stallings something that this roster badly need and that’s size in the front court. In this year’s class, Stallings has now brought in Ilegomah and also Terrell Brown (6-foot-9, 225 pounds) who will help the Panthers’ size and skill.

Right now, the strength of Ilegomah’s game are his defensive presence, shot blocking and gobbling up rebounds. He admits that the offensive side of his game is a work in progress but he’s been attending a few national big man camps in order to do that.

It will be interesting to see if Pitt has the room to add any more front court help because they also had an offer out to 6-foot-10 center Malik Ondigo from Putnam (Conn) Academy.

With the addition of Ilegomah, Stallings now has six new additions for the Class of 2017: Jared Wilson-Frame (6-foot-5, 230 pounds), Marcus Carr (6-foot-2, 160 pounds), Brown (6-foot-10, 225 pounds), Aaron Thompson (6-foot-2, 175 pounds) and Shamiel Stevenson (6-foot-5, 190 pounds).
