The phenomenal freshman season of Duquesne point guard Mike Lewis continues.

For the 4th time this season, Lewis has been named the Atlantic-10 Rookie of the Week. Lewis is the first Duquesne Duke to win this award four times since TJ McConnell did so five times back in 2011.

In two games against UMass and George Washington, Lewis averaged 26.5 PPG and shot 60.7% from the field.

In a near record-setting game vs. UMass, Lewis made nine 3-point shots and scored a career high 31 points. The 31 points was one point shy of the Duquesne freshman record set in 1915.

Lewis, who’s scored 20 or more points in five of his last six games, has to be the leading contender for the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year.
