Pitt Removes Justice Kithcart from Team

Published

on

In a surprising announcement, the Pitt basketball program announced that freshman point guard Justice Kithcart has been “dismissed” from the team.

The freshman from Virginia was averaging 1.3 points and 1.2 assists per game in limited minutes.

This morning, Pitt released a statement by head coach Kevin Stallings saying Kithcart was dismissed due to conduct detrimental to the team.

“It is a privilege to play basketball at the University of Pittsburgh and with that privilege comes the responsibility to conduct oneself in the appropriate manner. Unfortunately, Justice has been unable to uphold that standard. We wish him the best of luck in the future.”

This obviously opens up another scholarship for Stallings and his staff and removes a potential point guard for the 2017-18 team.
