The mystery concerning the “Pat Signal” from Saturday has been solved.
In a much needed move, Pat Narduzzi and the Pitt Panthers picked up some depth at the tight end position.
Flanagan will arrive and immediately give Pitt a veteran body behind Chris Clark. Prior to this announcement, Pitt was looking at the possibility of having to possibly use freshman to serve as the team’s #2 tight end.
Flanagan isn’t your typical football player, he’s a student first then a football player. The reason he’s leaving Rutgers is to pursue a doctorate degree possibly in biological sciences.
While at Rutgers, Flannagan was a 2-time member of the Big 10 All-Academic team and was part of a select group of Rutgers students studying at Aresty Research Center.
Flanagan joined the Rutgers football team first as a walk-on before earning a scholarship.
