Robert Morris Picks up Akron Transfer

Published

on

A day after receiving some disappointing news, the Robert Morris basketball team picked up some very encouraging news.

Talented Akron freshman guard Josh Williams (6-foot-2, 185 pounds) announced his plans to transfer to the Robert Morris basketball team.

In 34 games this season, Williams averaged 6.6 points per game and shot 41% from 3-point range (2nd best on Akron’s team). During a stretch in February, Williams recorded three straight 20 point games.

Following the season, Williams was named to the 2016 All-MAC Freshman team.

Coming out of St. Vincent St Mary’s HS (Akron) was ranked the 10th best prospect in the state of Ohio.

Interesting that Josh’s brother, Jonathan, is an incoming freshman for Toole’s team.

This appears to be a really good get for Robert Morris.
