Pitt has a number of scholarship offers out right now to linebackers and another candidate to receive one will be visiting this weekend.

Inside linebacker Chris Julian from Warren, Ohio will make the drive Saturday to the South Side in order to watch the Panthers scrimmage and also to talk with the coaching staff.

“I’ve been talking with Pitt since the middle of my football season in particular Linebackers Coach Harley,” said Julian.

“I’m really excited for the visit. I’ve already been to two Pitt games but I’m excited to come this weekend to watch them scrimmage and to look around to see how the facilities are. I’m really excited about it.”

“I really like Pitt. That would be a school that I’d want an offer from because they’re one of my top schools as far as interest for me. So an offer from them would mean a lot to me,” said Julian. “I just like the environment at Pitt. When I went down there I just felt it would be a good place for me to go to college. Plus, I really like the coaching staff. Every coach that I’ve talked with are really cool and nice.”

Currently, the 247 Sports Composite 3-star linebacker holds one offer and that’s from Kentucky but is getting interest from programs like Cincinnati, Maryland and Michigan State.

I asked Julian to describe his style of play for Pitt fans.

“At my school, I play defensive end and inside linebacker and I’m really good at rushing the passer. I’m also pretty good at getting off blocks and making plays. Some colleges think I’m a defensive end and others like me at linebacker.”

Currently, Pitt has offers out to these uncommitted inside linebackers: David Reese (Fort Pierce, Florida), Nick DeNucci (Sparta, New Jersey), Vinny DePalma (Wayne, New Jersey) and Caleb Deveaux (Waxhaw, North Carolina).
