The Pitt football program has a history of developing wide receivers and putting them in the pros with Tyler Boyd being the latest example of that.

Last night, a talented wide out from Georgia must’ve taken notice because he has Pitt list in his final eight schools (Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida, Minnesota, Louisville, West Virginia, Miami and Pitt).

Milledgeville (Ga.) 3-star recruit Jatavious Harris trimmed his list of offers from over twenty down to eight.

After trimming his list, Pittsburgh Sports Now talked with Harris about why Pitt made the cut and more.

“Pitt made the cut with me because I have a great relationship with Coach Sherman. Pitt also stands out to me because of the mail they send me and the phone call I’m having with Coach Narduzzi. We’re building a relationship and are staying in contact frequently,” said Harris.

“Pitt could be a great fit for me because the relationships I have with the coaches and the city of Pittsburgh. I feel like the Pitt coaches can make me better on and off the field.”

Considering it’s a long ways from Georgia, will Pitt get a visit from Harris?

“I’m planning to get over to Pittsburgh in May once my track season is over. It’s hard to take visits during track season.”
