UPDATE (8:00 AM)-
It appears as though the Pitt basketball team is losing a recruit in this year’s class. In a story first reported by Craig Meyers of the Pgh Post-Gazette, sources tell Pgh Sports Now that junior-college guard Troy Simons is very unlikely to join Pitt because of academic issues. The Pittsburgh native is currently attending Polk State College in Florida. This would mean Pitt has 4 open scholarships to fill.
