Today, Dambrot officially announced his coaching staff and all five hires were previously with him at Akron.

Terry Weigand, Rick McFadden and Charles Thomas were named assistant coaches. New Castle native Steve McNees was named director of operations and Eric Harper was named video coordinator.

“Continuity and loyalty are very important to me. There are very few staffs in the country – if any – who can say that their top four assistants all played for the head coach. That’s a key component in understanding how we’ve been successful and what kind of players are successful in our program. We have a commitment to one another that is unique to our staff. Every member of this staff played a key role in our success at Akron and I look for that to continue here at Duquesne.”

Weigand started coaching with Dambrot in 1990, McFadden is in his 13th year with Dambrot, Thomas has been with him for seven seasons, McNees and Harper have been with Dambrot for six seasons.
