Not only did Pat Narduzzi and Pitt receive a verbal commitment today, that player also is from the WPIAL.

In a much anticipated move, 2018 Thomas Jefferson defensive end Noah Palmer gave a verbal to the Panthers becoming their third 2018 commitment.

Palmer let the Pitt coaches know of his decision this morning while visiting the school.

“We went to Pitt today for another visit to tour some more stuff, go to see Heinz Field and meet with Coach Narduzzi again, it just felt right,” said Palmer.

“It’s a very important day in my life. Pitt is so close to my family, they can come see me, I can still see them. This just feels awesome. It just feels great and now I’m able to just focus on what’s in front of me now.”

This was an exciting day for the Palmer family but the latest Panther commitment tells me he wasn’t the only person excited by today’s news.

“We sat down in Coach Narduzzi’s office. I then tell him I have some good news for you. I’m 125% committed to Pitt football and the Pitt football community. He just up real fast and gave me a hug and was excited like he always is, it was awesome.”

Now that Palmer is in the fold, the Pitt coaches will now focus on Palmer’s teammate, stud defensive tackle Devin Danielson.

I asked Palmer about his teammate and if he’ll turn into a recruiter for Pitt to try to influence his decision?

“I’m always pushing him. I’m going to let him make his choice but I’ll definitely try and push him to Pitt so we can be roommates,” said Palmer.

“I haven’t told him about my decision yet. I’m going to give him a text after the actually.”
